I'll learn to fly.

I've made my decision. I want this pain to go away. But death isn't an option. I'm sorry Kevin, I love you.

Somebody told me that
We'll all go to heaven
Somebody told me that
The heart never lies

Somebody told me
That we'll all be forgiven
Somebody told me that
True love never dies

I'll go to heaven
I'll never die
Please, tell the children
I'll learn to fly

Gone are the days
When all my world was a heaven
Gone are the days
Before my heart ever cried

My love is six feet beneath
The world of the living
Gone are the days
Before my innocence died

I'll go to heaven
I'll never die
Please, tell the children
I'll learn to fly

These stubborn salty tears.

Kevin had lost his hope. He tried to hide it to seem strong for me. But I noticed it. The little things were what gave it away. The way he held my hand as if he was scared of losing me. His broken smile that revealed his worries. And the look in his eyes, filled with fear.
But I'm the one that has lost him. No longer is he here to hold me, to comfort me. I relied to much on him and put too much of a burden on him. And now he's dead because of me.

We were walking down a street, looking for a place to rest. Kevin was looking around nervously. Scared that we would be attacked by birds or worse, raptors. I should have been just as cautious but I was too tired. We hadn't slept since the last attack. Because of this I didn't see it coming.

Kevin did so he pushed me aside. He saved me before I even knew what was going on. Instead he was the one that got stabbed by Sarana. She had appeared from nowhere and tried to stab me in the middle of the day. Kevin yelled at me to get out of there. My legs just started running on their own. I didn't want to leave him behind but I couldn't stop running.

When I looked back I could see Sarana throwing him against the wall. I should have kept running instead I stopped. And I saw her slitting his throat. I wished I hadn't seen that.
Somehow I escaped, I don't remember how but I did. Maybe it would have been better if I didn't.

Miss Wouters came to me and said the birds can save me. They can stop the pain and the fear.
They're the ones that caused it in the first place! Without them Kevin would still be at my side. But I'd do anything to stop this pain. So I don't know..

Have fun dying.

We offered you a deal but its too late now. Shine has also been killed by The Instant and I escaped before he could do the same to me. Now he's coming after you and he's four times more powerful than ever. He absorbed two shards and he's in complete control of the resonator, the one you called Sarana.

Post 24

Sorry about cutting off last post but the laptops battery was almost empty. I'll just continue here.

We didn't know what was chasing us until we saw their reflection in a window. They were turkey sized, had razor sharp teeth, black feathers and red eyes. They were fucking velociraptors!

This time I didn't risk looking behind us to get a good look. These things were too fast and dangerous.
We needed to get out of the small side streets. They could ambush us there too easily. And being ambushed by these guys is the last thing you want to happen.

We headed to the pre-metro station, if it helped with the birds it could help with these bastards. Just before we reached the entrance one of them appeared out of nowhere and jumped on my back. Its claws dug into my skin and it bit my arm. I screamed in pain.
Kyra grabbed one of the chairs of a sidewalk cafe and knocked the raptor off of me. We then sprinted for the pre-metro entrance before the other raptors could catch up.

We closed the doors once we were inside. Four of them found us and started bashing against the glass doors. We ran further down, hoping to catch a tram before the raptors caught us.
One of the trams just arrived so we ran to it. But Elizabeth Miss Wouters was already there. So we had no choice but to run back upstairs. We ran into the other direction and headed back above ground.

Luckily there weren't any raptors. We decided to hide in a Karaoke bar because it had tinted windows. First we took care of my wounds in the bathroom. We then bought two drinks with our last money and waited it out.
When we left the place the raptors and Miss Wouters were gone. We had survived yet another day. But its getting harder and harder. I don't know what to do anymore.

Post 23

We keep falling from one dangerous situation into another. This time Miss Wouters found us again.
There were no birds, just her. She was waiting on us behind a street corner. How do they keep finding us?

Ms.W: "Took you long enough. I've been waiting an hour for you two to show up."
Me:" Sorry about that we got stuck in a traffic jam."
Ms.W:"On foot?"
Me:"Yes. We apologize but we really have to run now Miss Wouters."
Ms.W: "Oh please, just call me Elizabeth like you used to, remember the old days Kevin? There's no reason to be in a hurry. Stay here for a while and spend some time with your favorite teacher."
Me:" Your killer birds are a very good reason to be in a hurry. So no thanks."

I could see Kyra was burning with anger because of Elizabeth's..Miss Wouters flirting with me. And I didn't want to wait for the birds so I grabbed her hand and ran in the other direction. Miss Wouters was faster than I thought so we couldn't shake her off.
We decided to try blending into a crowd and headed towards the more busy streets nearby. It would have worked if it hadn't been Monday. Nobody was there this late on a Monday. Garfield was right, Monday's are the worst days.
Miss Wouters suddenly popped up in front of us and blocked our path.

Kyra:"Get out of our way bitch!"
Ms.W:"Kevin Hun, I think your little girlfriend is jealous."
Kevin:"Thanks for the warning Miss obvious. But she has no need to be jealous, I prefer dating people that aren't stuffed with turkeys."
Ms.W:"I'll just let my little friends out then."

She smiled as she took out a large knife and started cutting in the same exact spot as last time. Moaning as the knife cut through her skin. We ran into a side street before we could see what came out. But we could hear it roar. These weren't birds or pterosaurs, these were something much much worse.

Damnit

You got lucky Kevin. We had sent our sister after you because she was a great hunter. But now She's dead. I fucking let my guard down. If I was you I'd be worried now. Because the one who killed The Animal is not as nice as us.
The Instant is a fucking psychopath and if he catches you you'll be wishing you were dead. We tried to protect our sister but she was weak and He is too strong.

And He is growing in power, we want to offer you a deal. Before it's too late, meet us at the school. It's your only chance.

We got out of there but we were ambushed. As soon as we found an exit we we heard a growl. It was Sarana or The Animal, whatever she is called. She jumped on Kyra and started scratching her. I kicked her off and we got our asses out of there.

Kyra clamped on to my hand, I could see she was scared. But with Sarana on our tail all I could think about was escaping. I wasn't thinking straight and got us trapped. The street we had run into was a dead end. Sarana quickly caught up with us.

Her growling was louder than ever and she seemed to be drooling. She walked over to us.. well it looked more like crawling than walking. I jumped in front of Kyra to protect her. But instead of attacking us she started twitching and screaming. I grabbed Kyra and ran past Sarana while I saw a chance. As we ran away we could hear her screaming as if she was dying.
Which she technically was I think, Dying man shards and all..

Immediately after that the birds were back and forced us to hide once more. I need some rest..

Fuck you Dying man/Sarana/Shine. There is no way we would fall for that trap. That's all I have to say to you.

We're having enough trouble with the damned Convocation. They forced us to hide in this building. I'm not sure what kind of building it is. Even if I did I wouldn't tell. But I'm sure Miss Wouters will pop up here soon. Unless the birds want to wait for us to come out.
They showed up an hour ago. There's only a few dozen that I can see but I'm sure there's more of them. We need to find a way to get out of here.

Smart boy aren't you?

Kevin dear, you figured us out completely. Yes, we are watching you and yes we will get you eventually. So just stop running and meet us. How about our old school at 2:00 AM tonight?
I sure hope you won't be a no-show on our first date.
Oh and you can bring Kyra if you want, my brother has a crush on her anyway. Or was it that he wanted to crush her?.. I forgot.

Post 20

Kyra already posted about the hospital incident. Miss Wouters didn't hurt us because there were too many witnesses. I don't know why the birds were suddenly gone though. I guess there isn't a point in wondering about why the convocation does anything.

Same goes for the dying man/men/women/whatever they are. We saw Sarana them earlier today. So we have to worry about that bitch as well. She just looked at us with that fucking grin before walking away. Just to let us know she they knew where we were. At least I think thats why..

I wonder how long we'll be able to survive on the streets. I need to get Kyra somewhere safe. But does a place like that even exist? I doubt it.

Falling I'm falling

Why didn't I see through her lies? Kevin did, so why couldn't I? I feel so stupid. Then again running out into the streets without a place to go was also a bad idea. <.<
Yesterdays events proved that. I won't tell you where we are now but I will tell you what happened.

After running out of Sarana's apartment the birds quickly appeared. I noticed one sitting on a street light. It just stared at us with its red eyes that seemed to pierce right through me. Then the others showed up, hundreds of them turning the sky black.

We ran and they chased. We couldn't outrun them. Turning into corners didn't help either. We ran into the first building we could. An underground parking garage for a hospital apparently. If we are gonna die we might as well do it in a style befitting a horror movie, right?
The birds clearly had trouble navigating in there but were still on our tail. Kevin pulled me into an elevator which closed just in time.

I like to imagine the birds slamming into the closed metal doors. We went up to the third floor and got out of the elevator. The birds were waiting for us outside the windows. We needed to get out of there so we took the stairs down to on of the exits. Hoping the birds wouldn't see us leave.
Once we we got down we got surprised by Miss Wouters. We hadn't seen this coming. She looked at us and grinned and walked towards us.

I wanted to run but Kevin stopped me. He held me closely as his former teacher simply walked past us. I glared at her and she glared back. She then turned her gaze away as she walked into an elevator. When we walked out of the hospital the birds were gone.

Where do you think you're going?

My sister might have let you go but don't think you are safe now. I told her the plan wouldn't work but no, she had to be playful about it. Damn Shine and her games. I can never catch a break can I?
Shine blames it all on our other sister but if she had listened to me there wouldn't be a problem.

You are probably wondering what the hell is going on. Good, the less you know the bigger the surprise will be. One thing I will tell you though, our names.

You can call me Moonlight, poetic name isn't it? I'll be the one that will do most of the work because the others are too lazy.
You met my sisters already. The strongest one calls herself the Shining one, I just call her Shine. She's smart but plays too much with her prey.
The other one is known as The Animal, she's the one that was growling at night. I don't know why but it seems she can't suppress her wild side. Which can be a good thing when hunting.
And then there's The Instant.. We don't talk about him.

Now you must be confused as to what happened to our host, Sarana. She hasn't existed for a few years now. I guess four of us were too much for her poor mind and it broke down completely. Just makes it easier for us. Cya soon.

Post 19

Last night the sound was back. So as planned I grabbed a knife I had hidden under my pillow. I walked to the kitchen thinking it would be there again but it wasn't. Suddenly the sound stopped.
I got nervous and kept looking around. I turned around when I heard a sound.

Before I could react it jumped at me. I fell down and lost my knife. When I looked up I saw Sarana was the one pinning me down. Her growls sounded inhuman and so was the force she was holding me down with. As much as I struggled I couldn't move an inch.

She just kept growling at me for a few minutes before suddenly stopping. Then suddenly she started twitching violently for a few seconds. She then stared into my eyes and that creepy grin from last time appeared on her face, right before she started talking.

Sarana: "Well it seems like my sister blew my cover. I should have seen this coming. She has too little control over her instincts."
Me: "Your sister?"
Sarana: "Well she's not really my sister but your human language lacks the proper vocabulary."
Me: "What?"
Sarana:"You're cute when you're confused, human."
Me:"Wait you aren't human?.."
Sarana: "Well, this body is human, but us who control it are not. We are like your avian friends."
Me: "You're a nest?!"
Sarana:" No,no, we are much more and we were even more once. But we have been shattered into many shards. You mortals call us.. The Dying Man. Although I'm not male and neither is my sister, the others however.."
Me:"Others?.."
Sarana:" Yes, sadly enough we have to share this body.. which is not something we planned on. But I digress, my plan won't work now. So I'll just have a little fun with you before I kill you."

She then kissed my cheek. I started struggling to get free again. When suddenly Kyra burst into the room and kicked her off of me. She then helped me up and I grabbed my knife.
The disappeared from her face as she got back up slowly.

Sarana:"I'm sorry Kyra I didn't want to hide this from you but Kevin didn't want to hu-"
Kyra:" Shut up you bitch, I heard everything."
Sarana:"Oops. Oh well."

Her grin reappeared and she let out a demonic laugh. Kyra grabbed my hand and whispered that we needed to get out of there. I nodded and we ran out of the apartment. Sarana didn't chase after us.

We should have gotten out of there sooner. But we're okay for now so its not that bad. I knew I shouldn't have trusted that bitch.

Post 18

Last night the growling was back. So I got out of bed quietly and went into the living room. The sound seemed to be coming from the kitchen. It sounded like a wild dog eating its prey while trying to keep other scavengers away. At that point I wanted to grab a weapon but couldn't find anything.

So I tried sneaking around to avoid being seen. As soon as I got near the kitchen two red eyes flashed by me. I panicked and tried to run. But when I turned around it jumped on my back. I fell to the ground and attempted to get free. I could feel claws in my back as the thing growled loudly at me. I then swung my arm back and hit it in its face.

After that it ran away but I didn't see where it went. I couldn't find it anymore so I went back to bed. I haven't told Kyra or Sarana yet. I don't want them to worry. If it happens again tonight I'll have a weapon with me and whatever it was won't get away this time.

A taste is worth the risk.

Well I'm bored..
So I guess I'll write another post. Kevin doesn't trust Sarana even though she saved his life. He should be grateful for it. But he did apologize so its okay I guess. I can't stay mad at him for long anyway. He better know how lucky he is. <.<

Sure Sarana has some weird quirks but she's always been like that. Well at least as long as I've known her. But like she said, Kevin is just trying to protect me, which is sweet of him. He's currently working on a way to defend ourselves better. The plan is... oh right we aren't supposed to write about it. Oops

Not much else to talk about though. If the birds are trying to make us nervous by not showing up then its not working. I know we should be terrified but I'm starting to get over the fear. We're still staying alert though. Not gonna drop our guard, we aren't that dumb.

If the birds attack tomorrow we'll know that a nest is reading this. <.<
"They aren't getting scared? Well crap..time for plan B"
At least that's what Kevin said they would do. It does sound logical but those birds aren't logical in any way. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Post 17

I couldn't sleep much last night, I kept waking up. The third (or was it the fourth?) time I woke up something weird happened. I woke up because of a sound. I couldn't hear it clearly at first but it slowly got louder. It sounded like a growling dog. But Sarana doesn't have a dog or any other pets for that matter.
I tried looking around for what could be making the sound but I found nothing. Maybe it was just a dream, I'm not sure.

Anyway I should get back to thinking of a defense plan. I won't be posting it here because a nest could read it. I just hope we won't have to use it. Its smarter to avoid confrontation, I don't want anyone getting hurt.

post 16

Is it just me or was Sarana's last post weird? Especially the lack of emoticon things. She said it was just because she was tired when she wrote it. I don't really believe that so I'll just be extra careful around her.

I know we should have left yesterday but Sarana and Kyra brought up a good point. We have nowhere to go. If we had money we could stay at a hotel or something. The best we can do is try to prepare for when the birds finally show up. And that's what we'll be doing, somehow..

At least Kyra is no longer mad at me. It's never fun when your girlfriend is mad at you.
That reminds me, I wonder how my parents are doing.

Now now

Kevin and Kyra had a fight over me. As flattered as I am by that, I don't think fighting is a good idea. So I told her that he was just trying to protect her. And that he'll change his opinion once he gets to know me better.

Them leaving doesn't sound smart though. They have no money and nowhere else to go. Sleeping on the streets isn't smart either, being exposed to birds and shit. So I convinced her to stay.
I think they're making up now.
Yup that sounds like make up sex, go dude go! hehe.

Post 15

Kyra saw my last post and is now mad at me. I understand that Sarana is her friend and that she saved my life but I don't know. Like I said, something about that girl is off. After Kyra stormed out of the room I thought I saw Sarana grin at me in a creepy way. As if she wants me to distrust her.
Or maybe Kyra is right and I'm just being overprotective.

At least she agrees that we should leave this place as soon as possible. For other reasons but that's not important. I'm still trying to figure out where exactly we should go.
I'm pretty sure you guys won't mind if I don't post any more dinosaur stuff for a while. My mind is too busy trying to survive and protect Kyra.

Post 14

I'm fully back now and off the painkillers. You guys are right, being woozy is not a good idea. Besides the pain is more tolerable now. Sarana however seemed to disagree. Something about her is off but I can't put my finger on it. One minute she's like a squirrel on speed and the next she's sitting quietly staring out the window. Its almost creepy.

But she's Kyra's friend so maybe I'm just judging her too quickly. You guys apparently don't trust her either though. So I'll just keep an eye on her, just in case. At least until we leave her place. Kyra needs to rest up, she hasn't slept much while taking care of me. We'll probably get out of here on thursday. I just have no idea where we should go.
