Falling I'm falling

Why didn't I see through her lies? Kevin did, so why couldn't I? I feel so stupid. Then again running out into the streets without a place to go was also a bad idea. <.<
Yesterdays events proved that. I won't tell you where we are now but I will tell you what happened.

After running out of Sarana's apartment the birds quickly appeared. I noticed one sitting on a street light. It just stared at us with its red eyes that seemed to pierce right through me. Then the others showed up, hundreds of them turning the sky black.

We ran and they chased. We couldn't outrun them. Turning into corners didn't help either. We ran into the first building we could. An underground parking garage for a hospital apparently. If we are gonna die we might as well do it in a style befitting a horror movie, right?
The birds clearly had trouble navigating in there but were still on our tail. Kevin pulled me into an elevator which closed just in time.

I like to imagine the birds slamming into the closed metal doors. We went up to the third floor and got out of the elevator. The birds were waiting for us outside the windows. We needed to get out of there so we took the stairs down to on of the exits. Hoping the birds wouldn't see us leave.
Once we we got down we got surprised by Miss Wouters. We hadn't seen this coming. She looked at us and grinned and walked towards us.

I wanted to run but Kevin stopped me. He held me closely as his former teacher simply walked past us. I glared at her and she glared back. She then turned her gaze away as she walked into an elevator. When we walked out of the hospital the birds were gone.

Where do you think you're going?

My sister might have let you go but don't think you are safe now. I told her the plan wouldn't work but no, she had to be playful about it. Damn Shine and her games. I can never catch a break can I?
Shine blames it all on our other sister but if she had listened to me there wouldn't be a problem.

You are probably wondering what the hell is going on. Good, the less you know the bigger the surprise will be. One thing I will tell you though, our names.

You can call me Moonlight, poetic name isn't it? I'll be the one that will do most of the work because the others are too lazy.
You met my sisters already. The strongest one calls herself the Shining one, I just call her Shine. She's smart but plays too much with her prey.
The other one is known as The Animal, she's the one that was growling at night. I don't know why but it seems she can't suppress her wild side. Which can be a good thing when hunting.
And then there's The Instant.. We don't talk about him.

Now you must be confused as to what happened to our host, Sarana. She hasn't existed for a few years now. I guess four of us were too much for her poor mind and it broke down completely. Just makes it easier for us. Cya soon.

Post 19

Last night the sound was back. So as planned I grabbed a knife I had hidden under my pillow. I walked to the kitchen thinking it would be there again but it wasn't. Suddenly the sound stopped.
I got nervous and kept looking around. I turned around when I heard a sound.

Before I could react it jumped at me. I fell down and lost my knife. When I looked up I saw Sarana was the one pinning me down. Her growls sounded inhuman and so was the force she was holding me down with. As much as I struggled I couldn't move an inch.

She just kept growling at me for a few minutes before suddenly stopping. Then suddenly she started twitching violently for a few seconds. She then stared into my eyes and that creepy grin from last time appeared on her face, right before she started talking.

Sarana: "Well it seems like my sister blew my cover. I should have seen this coming. She has too little control over her instincts."
Me: "Your sister?"
Sarana: "Well she's not really my sister but your human language lacks the proper vocabulary."
Me: "What?"
Sarana:"You're cute when you're confused, human."
Me:"Wait you aren't human?.."
Sarana: "Well, this body is human, but us who control it are not. We are like your avian friends."
Me: "You're a nest?!"
Sarana:" No,no, we are much more and we were even more once. But we have been shattered into many shards. You mortals call us.. The Dying Man. Although I'm not male and neither is my sister, the others however.."
Me:"Others?.."
Sarana:" Yes, sadly enough we have to share this body.. which is not something we planned on. But I digress, my plan won't work now. So I'll just have a little fun with you before I kill you."

She then kissed my cheek. I started struggling to get free again. When suddenly Kyra burst into the room and kicked her off of me. She then helped me up and I grabbed my knife.
The disappeared from her face as she got back up slowly.

Sarana:"I'm sorry Kyra I didn't want to hide this from you but Kevin didn't want to hu-"
Kyra:" Shut up you bitch, I heard everything."
Sarana:"Oops. Oh well."

Her grin reappeared and she let out a demonic laugh. Kyra grabbed my hand and whispered that we needed to get out of there. I nodded and we ran out of the apartment. Sarana didn't chase after us.

We should have gotten out of there sooner. But we're okay for now so its not that bad. I knew I shouldn't have trusted that bitch.

Post 18

Last night the growling was back. So I got out of bed quietly and went into the living room. The sound seemed to be coming from the kitchen. It sounded like a wild dog eating its prey while trying to keep other scavengers away. At that point I wanted to grab a weapon but couldn't find anything.

So I tried sneaking around to avoid being seen. As soon as I got near the kitchen two red eyes flashed by me. I panicked and tried to run. But when I turned around it jumped on my back. I fell to the ground and attempted to get free. I could feel claws in my back as the thing growled loudly at me. I then swung my arm back and hit it in its face.

After that it ran away but I didn't see where it went. I couldn't find it anymore so I went back to bed. I haven't told Kyra or Sarana yet. I don't want them to worry. If it happens again tonight I'll have a weapon with me and whatever it was won't get away this time.

A taste is worth the risk.

Well I'm bored..
So I guess I'll write another post. Kevin doesn't trust Sarana even though she saved his life. He should be grateful for it. But he did apologize so its okay I guess. I can't stay mad at him for long anyway. He better know how lucky he is. <.<

Sure Sarana has some weird quirks but she's always been like that. Well at least as long as I've known her. But like she said, Kevin is just trying to protect me, which is sweet of him. He's currently working on a way to defend ourselves better. The plan is... oh right we aren't supposed to write about it. Oops

Not much else to talk about though. If the birds are trying to make us nervous by not showing up then its not working. I know we should be terrified but I'm starting to get over the fear. We're still staying alert though. Not gonna drop our guard, we aren't that dumb.

If the birds attack tomorrow we'll know that a nest is reading this. <.<
"They aren't getting scared? Well crap..time for plan B"
At least that's what Kevin said they would do. It does sound logical but those birds aren't logical in any way. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Post 17

I couldn't sleep much last night, I kept waking up. The third (or was it the fourth?) time I woke up something weird happened. I woke up because of a sound. I couldn't hear it clearly at first but it slowly got louder. It sounded like a growling dog. But Sarana doesn't have a dog or any other pets for that matter.
I tried looking around for what could be making the sound but I found nothing. Maybe it was just a dream, I'm not sure.

Anyway I should get back to thinking of a defense plan. I won't be posting it here because a nest could read it. I just hope we won't have to use it. Its smarter to avoid confrontation, I don't want anyone getting hurt.

post 16

Is it just me or was Sarana's last post weird? Especially the lack of emoticon things. She said it was just because she was tired when she wrote it. I don't really believe that so I'll just be extra careful around her.

I know we should have left yesterday but Sarana and Kyra brought up a good point. We have nowhere to go. If we had money we could stay at a hotel or something. The best we can do is try to prepare for when the birds finally show up. And that's what we'll be doing, somehow..

At least Kyra is no longer mad at me. It's never fun when your girlfriend is mad at you.
That reminds me, I wonder how my parents are doing.

Now now

Kevin and Kyra had a fight over me. As flattered as I am by that, I don't think fighting is a good idea. So I told her that he was just trying to protect her. And that he'll change his opinion once he gets to know me better.

Them leaving doesn't sound smart though. They have no money and nowhere else to go. Sleeping on the streets isn't smart either, being exposed to birds and shit. So I convinced her to stay.
I think they're making up now.
Yup that sounds like make up sex, go dude go! hehe.

Post 15

Kyra saw my last post and is now mad at me. I understand that Sarana is her friend and that she saved my life but I don't know. Like I said, something about that girl is off. After Kyra stormed out of the room I thought I saw Sarana grin at me in a creepy way. As if she wants me to distrust her.
Or maybe Kyra is right and I'm just being overprotective.

At least she agrees that we should leave this place as soon as possible. For other reasons but that's not important. I'm still trying to figure out where exactly we should go.
I'm pretty sure you guys won't mind if I don't post any more dinosaur stuff for a while. My mind is too busy trying to survive and protect Kyra.

Post 14

I'm fully back now and off the painkillers. You guys are right, being woozy is not a good idea. Besides the pain is more tolerable now. Sarana however seemed to disagree. Something about her is off but I can't put my finger on it. One minute she's like a squirrel on speed and the next she's sitting quietly staring out the window. Its almost creepy.

But she's Kyra's friend so maybe I'm just judging her too quickly. You guys apparently don't trust her either though. So I'll just keep an eye on her, just in case. At least until we leave her place. Kyra needs to rest up, she hasn't slept much while taking care of me. We'll probably get out of here on thursday. I just have no idea where we should go.

Sarana here

Well this kinda stinks. Kevin is feeling too woozy to post and Kyra is all depressed. v.v
So I'm filling in for them! ^.^

I'm sure nobody minds. Right? o.o
Anyway Kevin and Kyra are so cute together. Kinda makes me miss my ex. Not really though, he was a douche. Problem is I have no idea what to talk about. lol
Oh well, I'll think of something for next post.

An addict of the kiss.

Guess Kevin hasn't recovered enough to write I guess. That just means I'll have to keep taking care of him. Which is something I'll happily do. He's the sweetest guy I've ever dated.
Sigh, I want my normal life back.

At least the birds haven't shown up yet. I just worry about what'll happen when they do find us. It might end up as bad as last time or even worse. I don't want Kevin to die, I don't want us to die, I don't want to die.

Post 13

Apparently thirteen IS an unlucky number. The thirteenth post should have been a few days ago but instead I almost got killed by fucking birds. But I'm back now baby! Miss me?
Probably not as much as Kyra did. She's such a sweet girl. I would be dead if it wasn't for her. And her friend too. Although I don't know Sarana and she seems a bit immature at first. But she did treat my wounds so I can't complain.

These painkillers make me feel a bit woozy though. But its better than being in constant pain. I think I need to rest some more before I start posting again. So I'll let Kyra keep you guys updated.

There's a world in my fantasy.

Kevin is awake! He isn't able to write on here yet though but he's getting better. I'm so glad! c:
Its obvious that he needs to rest a lot. But I'll take care of him so that he'll be back up in no time.
He took care of me when I needed it too. So I'll do my best for him as well. I just hope he can recover before the birds find us.
I hope one day we can look back on this as just a very bad way to start our relationship. Although it has brought us very close very fast. I'd have preferred it if it didn't involve killer birds and live dinosaurs.

Also I didn't want to tell my friend about this whole mess. But she pretty much dragged it out of me. Or maybe I just needed to blurt out my feelings and thoughts. I guess thats why Kevin wanted me to post on here in the first place. I just hope he won't mind that I told Sarana.
She seems to be taking it better than I did. Then again she hasn't seen the birds herself yet, so that might change.

Although I hope we can get out of here before that happens. The last thing I want to do is drag Sarana into this. I already did that didn't I?..

Thursday, February 14, 2013

Hi ^.^

My name is Sarana, I'm Kyra's friend. Yesterday she brought her boyfriend to me when he was badly injured. She said he had been in a fight but his wounds were odd, I treated them anyway. Kyra is a good friend so I trusted her.

I was curious though so when I came back from work I asked her if Kevin had been attacked by animals. Because those wounds on his body didn't look like normal wounds you get from a fight. She was hesitant at first but eventually told me everything. o . o

The poor girl has been through a lot. It would have been hard to believe if it didn't make so much sense. The wounds on Kevin are clearly made by birds and it also would explain why Kyra jumps up every time she sees a bird.  :l
I've always known there were demons out there somewhere. These birds are clearly related to one of them!

I'm sure we'll find a way to get rid of the bastards. ^.^

Captured by your talons.

Kyra here, Kevin is not able to post right now. He got really badly injured. We're staying at my friends apartment now. I hope he wakes up soon, I'm getting worried.
I guess I should tell you what happened. I don't want to though, I just want.. What I want isn't important, Kevin would want me to talk about it. I think..
Oh god I'm acting as if he died or something. Get yourself together Kyra!  >:

So Kevin was writing his post when suddenly the bell rang. Which woke me up, I wondered who it could be but Kevin told me not to open it yet. He wasn't expecting anyone so it was suspicious. He turned out to be right, it was that old teacher of his. God I hate her.
As soon as she saw us through the window she smashed through it and several birds flew into the house. I screamed and Kevin told me to run.

We ran into the kitchen and closed the door behind us. I wanted to grab a knife but Kevin told me not to because of the birds. Good thing he did because that would have been bad. x.x
He then grabbed my hand and pulled me into the next room and whispered that I should hide. So I sat behind a closet and waited.

It wasn't long before she came into the room with that awful smile of hers. Her smile faded however when Kevin jumped her from behind and held her arms back. He then shouted for me to go for her throat. So I dashed at them and wrapped my hands around her neck after punching her in the face.

She struggled hard but Kevin was stronger. We would have won if it wasn't for the birds that followed her. They came at me causing me to let go and run.
This allowed the teacher to trip Kevin, they fell down and started struggling. The birds turned their attention on him and pecked him badly. When he finally let go of her, the teacher jumped up.

I jumped on her and knocked her head against the closet, which knocked her out.
I helped Kevin get up and we ran out of the house. Neither the birds nor the teacher had followed us but Kevin was losing blood so I took him to my friend's place. I told her he had been in a fight and she helped me take care of him. For some reason taking him to a hospital didn't seem like a good idea. Sarana knows some first aid so I figured she would be able to help. I just hope it was enough.. :c

Post 12 Pterosaurs

Pterosaur sketch by Kyra
Imagine a group of those flying out of a person and attacking you. Don't forget to add their black fur and red eyes. Not all the pterosaurs were like this though, just the ones that attacked us. So the black and red might just be the convocation's influence.

A lot of mistakes are made when it comes to pterosaurs. Mainly that they are NOT dinosaurs. Everyone seems to think that they are. I already said it in my last dinosaur post but it deserves being said over and over. Its THAT big of a mistake. Dinosaurs are a group of animals defined by the build of their skeleton. Pterosaurs are related but built differently, so they are not dinosaurs. I'm going to keep saying it until people start getting it.

They aren't the ancestor of birds either, raptors are. Like velociraptors and their relatives. Which can be seen by the fact that some predatory birds are called raptors too. I can see why people make the mistake  though.
Another thing that shows their difference is that unlike raptors, pterosaurs didn't have feathers. Most people get that part right though. But still make the mistake of showing pterosaurs with scales. Which they didn't have!

They had something that resembles fur. I say "resembles" because they're not hairs like us mammals have. They're called pycnofibres. It looks like fur but its not made out of the same material our hairs are made of.

Now most of this post seems like I'm just complaining about mistakes too many people make. But that's because too many people make them! Its like seeing someone use Internet explorer 6. It just shouldn't happen anymore these days!

The other mistakes I can handle, like showing a species with teeth when it didn't have them. Or the other way around. Maybe you show your pterosaur to be larger than that species was, it happens. But calling all pterosaurs pterodactyls is not tolerable! Its like calling all rodents guinea pigs. A pterodactyl was one species of pterosaur, not the other way around.

I was going to write more but someone is at my front door so I'll just stop here.

post 11

We decided to skip school. Because my former teacher being a nest for those damned birds is scary. Way more scary than any punishment we could get. Unless we get detention with Ms.Wouters, then we're fucked. If anyone reading this has a good suggestion for what we should do then please comment.

If we don't figure out how to solve this mess we'll probably die. And that scares the shit out of me. I'm trying not to show it though. If Kyra sees how scared I am she'll worry too much. She's still sleeping right now, maybe I'll go make her some breakfast for when she wakes up.

I hate small posts like this though. Maybe I should do a pterosaur post after this one to make up for it. Although I can't promise anything. So yeah, sorry again.

Hogwarts School is no longer safe!
The only relatively safe place for now is my house. So Kyra has been staying over during the weekend. Fun times, but tomorrow we have to go back to school. My mother would believe me if I said I was sick but Kyra's parents aren't as trusting as my mother.

We really need a solution for this and quickly. I don't have much to write about other than that though. Me and Kyra are just having fun, playing games and watching TV. With some occasional flirting.
Normally I'd write a dinosaur post but that's the last thing on my mind right now. Sorry guys.

post 9

The birds are back. We noticed them when we were walking to school this morning. Just two of them but that's already too many. Kyra seems to be handling it better now though. She's still too scared to walk to school alone. But instead of flipping out she just flipped the bird(s) at them.

Once we were in school we didn't leave the building for the rest of the day. Which normally isn't allowed during breaks. Because students running through the hallway "would disrupt the students that are still in class". Mainly just because they don't trust us and think we would steal and vandalize stuff. Which is probably what half the students would do, so I guess they have a point there.

But its still an inconvenience when trying to avoid the Convocation. So we hide ourselves in places they wouldn't find us and tell us to get our asses outside. Which would make most teachers, IF they found us, assume we were doing.. stuff.
We aren't stupid, we keep that kinda stuff at home.
When I told Kyra about the so called "nests" she got a bit worried. I can understand why, they don't sound easy to fight off. Best thing we can do if we see one is to run.

Me: Don't worry babe, I'll protect you. I have a black belt you know!
Kyra: A black belt in what?
Me: Leather I believe but I'm not sure.

It was a lame joke but it got her to giggle a bit. I love it when she laughs but because of these fucking birds it doesn't happen often. Which is a shame.
Suddenly the door to the main staircase swings open. A teacher had found us. Kyra panicked but I didn't because I knew that teacher. It was Ms. Wouters, My biology teacher from last year. I had always gotten along with her due to our shared interest in ancient reptiles. (I also had a huge crush on her like a lot of her male students did. Because holy hell she's hot. Don't tell Kyra that though. Although she will probably read this anyway.. well crap.)
So I thought I could convince her to let me and Kyra stay inside. But instead..

Ms.W: Kevin my dear, you are hiding from the birds aren't you?
Me: Miss Wouters, me and ..wait what? You know about the birds?
Ms.W: Of course I do, they told me that they had an eye on one of my students. I'm glad to know that its you that they're after. I always thought it would be nice if you joined us.
Me: Join you?
Kyra: She's one of those nests Kevin! We need to run!
Ms.W: Smart girlfriend you have there. But don't think I'll let you escape so easily. It would be a lot easier if you would just accept their offer.
Me: Sorry but you can tell the Convocation to flock off!

Kyra then started running towards the other staircase behind us. Ms.Wouters ripped open her shirt and pulled out a razor blade. If I hadn't known she was going to release the birds I would have kept staring because WOW. But instead I ran after Kyra to get the hell out of there. I could hear Ms.Wouters moan as she cut herself open. (I'm not sure if that was creepy, arousing or both..)

Ms.W: Well thats... new.

Suddenly we heard these loud and creepy screams behind us. When I looked back I saw a bunch of bird-sized PTEROSAURS  flying out of her open stomach. They were as black as the birds we had seen before but they were not birds. They were small pterosaurs covered in fur-like black hairs.

I always imagined seeing all sorts of ancient extinct reptiles in real life. And I always assumed it would be exciting. But this was a whole new level of awesome. If Kyra hadn't pulled me out of there I would probably be dead now.
Its so conflicting, one part of me is scared to death but the other couldn't be more excited. I mean I'm one of the first in 66 Million years to see a pterosaur alive. And there were a whole group of them!
If pterosaurs are still alive could that mean that dinosaurs are too?

Post 8

Or is it post 10? I'm not sure if I should count Kyra's posts. Maybe its better if I don't, I don't know.

Kyra went home after school today. She didn't have much of a choice. I told her to call me when something happened. And she did call me just now but only to tell me she had gotten home safely. No sign of the birds at her house. They weren't at school either, we would have noticed them.
I'm not stupid enough to think that this means they're gone. No, me and Kyra both know they'll show up again. The question is when they will do it.

Those birds caused me to get behind on schedule on my experiment. Although Kyra staying over was also part of the distraction. But I'm not gonna talk about that. Hehe.
In this "bird situation" I guess homework isn't that important. But it'll keep my mind occupied.

I looked at those links that proxiehunter guy put in his comment. I have to say, there wasn't much useful  information there. Except the part about the "birdbrains". Gotta watch out for those too I guess. Maybe if I keep looking I can find a way to get rid of the birds. I would ask for help but who in their right mind would believe me? I know I wouldn't.

So sorry guys don't expect any dinosaur posts anytime soon. I'll try to squeeze one in when I can but no promises.

A monster in my bed

I'm back, sorry about earlier. Kevin is awake now so I feel a bit safer. Just a bit. <-<
Yesterday Kevin asked me to post my version of our encounters with the "Convocation". (That's what it was called right?)
Sounds more fitting than "the birds" I guess. I'll start at the beginning.

About a month ago while I was doing homework, a raven landed outside of my window and peeked inside. I didn't pay much attention to it at the time. Didn't pay attention to it when it was there again three days later either. It only started getting creepy when one day there were two of them staring at me.

As more time passed I noticed them more often. Mostly when I was in my room or walking outside. Then on the day I had my first date with Kevin one of them woke me up by pecking my window. Which was the reason I was a bit jumpy when I saw them again that day. The date had gotten them off of my mind but them stalking us reminded me of their creepiness.

The next day they didn't show up at all. That just made my paranoia worse. I knew they would show up but they didn't. The day after that I started thinking maybe they weren't going to show up again. A soon as the thought crossed my mind I heard them caw outside my window. There were now three of them.

At that point I didn't want to come out of my bed anymore. All I could think about were those birds. I've always had a small fear of birds when I was a young girl. But I got mostly over it I thought. Apparently I didn't or these birds just had something about them that made you fear them. I don't know.

When my second date with Kevin came I hoped I could take my mind off of them again. It worked, for the most part until they stalked us everywhere we went. If he hadn't been there I wouldn't have been able to go outside I think. The dates themselves were great, Kevin has something about him that makes you feel safe. But those birds had really gotten to me.

And then they attacked us after school. Which you've already read about. They just keep getting more aggressive and come in larger groups. Now I'm afraid to go home, which I will have to do today. Or my parents will get suspicious. I'm sure those birds are waiting for me there..I don't wanna go. :c

Thunder rumbles down the hallway

Umm hi there.
I'm not used to this blogging stuff. So I'll just introduce myself for now. My name is Kyra, Kevin already wrote about me in this blog. He already told you the important stuff probably. But he greatly exaggerates. I'm not as interesting or beautiful as he claims. Although I do appreciate the compliments.

I tried making my own account on here because he asked but it wouldn't let me. I don't know why. So I'll just use his account to post. Maybe he's right about it helping deal with this.. situation. I certainly hope so, I can use all the help I can get. Wait..is that..

I thought I saw a birds shadow. Sorry about that I'm a bit paranoid. I'm just so scared. For weeks these birds have been haunting me. Showing up whenever I went outside. Every day they would appear more. They..

OH GOD THEY'RE HERE! No it was just in my head, I thought I heard them but no. I can't do this I'm just too terrified. I'll try to do this another time.

Post 7

HOLYSHITFUCK!

I needed to say that.

No, I need to scream that. One second while I go do that.

Ok, that... did not help as much as I thought it would.
You're probably wondering what the fuck is going on. Well so am I.
Kyra says she is too. Yes Kyra is here with me. I don't even know why I'm writing this. I don't know anything. Except that we almost just fucking DIED.
I feel like I need to write this down for some reason. Maybe it'll help me process it, or something.

So you remember those birds right? Well we were at school when they decided to show up there as well. This freaked Kyra out a lot but I told her it would be okay. They were just watching us. What could they possibly do right?
Even if they decided to attack her or something I'd protect her. They're just birds after all. Plus we were surrounded by people so we were safe.

But later, during lunch more and more birds gathered. Watching us closely as most people suddenly left. Thats when I realized these birds weren't normal. Birds don't stalk people for weeks, they don't gather and watch your every move. And these birds had a creepy vibe about them that only got worse as more birds joined.

We stayed inside for the rest of the day until school ended. But when it did end we had no other choice but to go outside. So I told her to stay close to me and try to stay in the crowd. She grabbed my hand and nodded. Problem with the crowd was, they were all going home. So it didn't take long before the crowd had split up completely. As soon as that happened the birds came at us and we ran.

We ran while trying not to bump into people. Nobody seemed to pay much attention to us or the birds. Which is odd.. very odd. But at the time I didn't care, I just wanted to get us away from those birds.
Then one of them landed on Kyra's shoulder and pecked her. I..no, We paniced and ran across the street. Which caused a truck to almost hit us. The driver honked and cursed at us but I didn't care.

I had seen a way out. An underground tram station thingy. We ran down the stairs and closed the doors behind us just in time. One of the birds landed in front of the glass door and looked at us before flying away. It almost seemed like a threat, but that can't be. We then decided to take a tram home, hoping they wouldn't follow us.

Luckily they didn't find us after that. Now we're at my house, Kyra is staying here for the night. She already called her parents and told them some excuse. I doubt they would accept it if she said:" I'm being stalked by killer birds! I can't come home tonight so I'm staying with this guy I'm dating."

I hope those birds leave us alone now. Fuck, this is just messed up.

Post 6

Another great date! First we went to get our movie tickets at 5 PM. But the movie didn't start until 6:10 PM, oops. So we decided to go eat something first. Which I didn't mind at all because it meant more time to talk!
I know, a guy who likes to talk during dates?! Go home stereotype, you're drunk! But seriously this girl is so interesting. It might seem like I'm a bit too excited about this huh?

She might start thinking I'm a stalker or something. That'd be bad, very bad. Especially since I told her about this blog. If she suddenly stops talking to me I'll know why. Kyra if you read this then please don't think I'm a creep. I just get very excited about certain things, like dinosaurs.

Normally people I date think my dinosaurs are stupid geek stuff. Some even think I'm kidding when I say I like dinosaurs. Because apparently I'm "not the type to be into nerd stuff". I guess I can see why people would think that. My father always pushed me into sports, especially soccer. Hence my dislike for soccer. So at first sight I probably seem more like a guy into sports than into science stuff.

Which isn't really incorrect. I mean I like playing basketball once in a while and I try to work out enough. But If I had to choose between any sport and dinosaurs, well its not hard to guess which I'd choose.
And thats another issue my dad has with me. But he's glad that I do practice sports, not as much as he'd prefer though.

I got sidetracked, back to the date. Kyra actually thought my dinosaur geekery was cute. Which is the first time anyone thought that. We talked for a while and forgot about the time. We even almost missed the start of the movie. The movie itself was okay but nothing special. I was more worried about Kyra since she seemed worried.

Why would she be worried you ask? Those birds, thats why. Yes they were there again, following us. From her house to the cinema, from there to McDonalds and then again while we ran to make it in time for the movie.

There were 5 of them this time I think. At first it was just two ravens then one and the last time it was two again. Maybe they were the same ones, kinda hard to tell them apart. After the movie Kyra told me they had been following her for a while now. Apparently it started with one and then they appeared more often and with more at once.

Normally I wouldn't believe anyone that said they were being stalked by birds. But I clearly saw them following us. Might also be me not wanting to think Kyra would lie about that stuff. I don't know.
I didn't see them after the movie though. Something about this is weird but I guess its just birds. Although they look ominous somehow.

I just hope Kyra doesn't let these birds get to her. I'll ask if she is doing okay tomorow at school. Which reminds me, I still have homework to do. Crap...

post 5 dinosaurs

I promised you a dinosaur post and I wrote one! But it went extinct, sorry.
And I'm even more sorry about that lame joke. To make up for it I'll start talking about dinosaurs now. Because ancient dead reptiles are way more interesting than I am. No really, they are.

Most people would start a blog about a subject by explaining what the subject is. However I shamelessly started with sex and violence. And now that I actually have your attention I will start with the explanation of what a dinosaur actually is. (That is assuming I have your attention. But if I don't then you aren't reading this. So I don't give a fuck. )

Most people would describe dinosaurs as the giant reptiles that once lived on this planet. Those people are wrong, don't listen to them. Dinosaurs are tiny fluffy mammals that live on Uranus. The only part of that sentence that is correct is that they lived on this planet. And they still do live among us. They're called birds. But I'll come back on that later.

Then what ARE dinosaurs? Dinosaurs are a group of animals that descended from two groups of reptiles. I'm not going to use their names because you'll forget them anyway. The important thing to remember about it is that there are two kinds of dinosaurs. Both are classified as dinosaurs because of their skeletal structure. The lizard-hipped dinosaurs and the bird-hipped dinosaurs.(Fun fact, birds are actually part of the lizard-hipped dinosaurs.)

Most people probably already know this but not all of the dinosaurs were giants. Like I said before, birds are dinosaurs and I wouldn't call a hummingbird gigantic. Unless I was a bug, which I'm not.
Velociraptors for example were dog sized-ish. But that doesn't mean they weren't dangerous. They could rip you to shreds in a matter of minutes if they still existed. Its just that the giant ones are more impressive to most people. Which I can fully understand, I just don't care about size. *wink wink*

And if birds are dinosaurs then not all dinosaurs are reptiles either. And not all giant reptiles were dinosaurs for that matter. Before the dinosaurs there were other giant reptiles that roamed this planet. They don't get as much attention as the dinosaurs do but they were equally interesting. Maybe I'll talk about them in a later post.

Other giant reptiles were the ones that lived in the ocean. Like Plesiosaurs and Mosasaurs. Although their name seems to imply that they were indeed dinosaurs, they weren't. In other words Nessie ain't a dinosaur. (Loch ness monster)
The last group of ancient reptiles I'll mention are the pterosaurs. The so called flying dinosaurs. But as you'll have figured out by now, they weren't dinosaurs either. Which is interesting because it means that birds are closer related to the T-Rex than a Pterodactyl is to either of them.

And thats all for now folks.

Post 4

Yesterday I spent time with Kyra during the lunch break. Which was a lot of fun. Normally lunch breaks bore the hell out of me because the only thing the guys in my class do is play soccer. And I hate soccer. But this time I actually had someone to talk to.
I'm really starting to like this girl a lot. But I don't know her that well yet so we'll see where this goes. I should ask her which movie she wants to go see because I have no idea which movies they're showing.

Tomorow I'll have another dinosaur post up tomorow. I'm too tired to do one now. And since I don't have anything else to talk about I'll end this short post here. Nothing really interesting happened anyway recently.

Post 3 Dinosaurs

My previous attempt at pimping out dinosaurs for views seemed to have worked. But even though I'd love to talk more about dinosaurs jumping each others bones, I won't.
Mainly because there isn't much to talk about anymore. So I will replace sex with violence!
The second thing that will get overprotective moms to sue me for when their kids happen to find my blog for their dinosaur related assignments.

And hopefully it will also help keep this blog interesting. There is also more to talk about when it comes to dinosaurs fighting than just the fact if they had penises or not.
This post will be about what weapons dinosaurs used in combat. The ones used for offense, defense and the ones used to win the right to mate.

The offensive weapons were mainly used by predators. Which shouldn't be much of a surprise. These weapons were sharp teeth and claws which were both used to kill their prey as quickly as possible. Speed was another weapon, especially for the smaller species. The larger ones however used their large mass as yet another weapon. Not only could they easily overpower smaller species but they could also use their bodies as battering rams. Knocking down their prey and then moving in for the kill.

Of course all this would be useless if they couldn't find their prey. So most predators had large eyes and relatively advanced binocular vision. Some of them also had excellent smell to track their prey or possibly already dead dinosaur bodies. But one of their best weapons might have been their breath. Much like my father, seriously dad stop burping, its gross.
Like some modern predators dinosaur mouths were a breeding ground for bacteria. Even if a prey managed to escape their wound could end up infected and the herbivore would die a few days later anyway.

Of course to be able to counter all those dangerous predators their prey had to have some weapons of their own. Some used their tails as whips or some had a tail with a mace like growth at its end. Which could crush a raptors skull.
Others didn't even have to worry about predators since they were just that huge. But like modern elephants even the largest dinosaurs had vulnerable children. Which is why most of these giants never reached adulthood.
Then there were those who had armor. Nothing can eat you if they can't bite through your armor.(Unless they flip you over and attack your weak points for massive damage.)

Some even had spikes on their armor which could be a serious problem for predators. Camouflage must have helped too if in fact they had such a thing. We can't know for sure since colors don't fossilize but it would be surprising if they didn't.
And similar to modern prey animals they sometimes traveled in herds for protection. The only evidence for this are the places were lots of the same species fossils were found together. Which seems like enough evidence to me but there will always be people that will say it could be coincidence. But I don't believe in coincidences.
And lastly while predators had sight and smell, herbivores had excellent hearing. If they hear any suspicious sounds they could get the hell out before it was too late. And a T-Rex wouldn't have been too hard to hear coming, right? Well obviously it managed to be stealthy enough to catch enough prey to be a very successful hunter.

And lastly the weapons used to win themselves a female. These were mostly horns and frills. With these males would combat each other and the winner would get the female. Much like some modern animals.
Lastly there was a family of dinosaurs that used their heads. Literally, They had very thick skulls that they used for head-butting each other. These were called Pachycephalosaurs.

And damn this post is long.. I better stop now before you guys get bored. Comment if you found this interesting or boring. If too many people say its boring I'll find a way to make these more interesting. Maybe I'll throw some images of boobs into it.
